Phil Packwood,
LCSW, LSOTP, CART

Phil Packwood has a Master’s Degree in Social Work (LCSW) and works with children, teens and adults. His goal is to help clients change their unwanted behaviors by “reframing” their problems and helping them to see alternative solutions. Sometimes people are “blinded” by their own vision of problems to the point that they can’t see good alternatives.

Phil is also a Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider (LSOTP) in the State of Texas and works with both offenders and victims of sexual crimes. He feels it is important for victims of sexual crimes to not harbor feelings of guilt and shame. He also feels it is important for offenders to come to terms with their illness and understand why they did what they did and to take responsibility for their future behaviors. Empathy building is a big part of offenders’ treatment.

Phil is also a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist (CART) having worked many years with people having anger issues. Clients are shown new ways to overcome their anger problems by teaching them new responses and gradually having them erase old habits.
